Resource Group is a leading provider of aviation composite training, delivering specialist practical skills courses to professionals across the Civil Aviation, Rotary, Government & Defence, and Business Aviation sectors.

Our training programmes are designed to supplement Part-66 aircraft maintenance training and enhance existing hand skills required during aviation maintenance practices.

Basic Composite Training

Course Overview

The course provides a balanced combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical experience. It’s designed for aviation technicians who need to develop basic composite repair skills.

During the course, students will:

Work with dry glass fibre fabric and liquid epoxy resin in a hands-on exercise that teaches the fundamentals of the vacuum bagging process, including the correct use of bleeder and breather materials in composite manufacturing.
Use prepreg carbon fibre unidirectional tape to explore balance and symmetry requirements in a laminate.

Advanced Composite Training

Course Overview

This aviation composite repair training course provides experienced structural technicians, airframe mechanics, and aircraft maintenance personnel with the practical skills to identify, assess, and repair damage to complex aircraft composite structures.

Building on the knowledge gained in Basic Composite Training, this hands-on course focuses on industry-standard repair techniques used in modern aviation maintenance environments, enabling technicians to perform safe, compliant, and efficient structural repairs.

What the Course Covers

Participants will develop advanced skills in:

Composite damage identification and structural assessment
Damage and core removal procedures
Wet lay-up and honeycomb core repair techniques
Hot bonding repair methods
Advanced vacuum bagging procedures
