EASA Part-66 Remote Delivery Continues in July 2020

Following on from the successful uptake of our June 2020 EASA Part 66 modular courses, Resource Group will be continuing to offer a remote training service for our students and clients in July 2020. We are very pleased to confirm that all of the original modules scheduled in July, will be going ahead as planned using ‘Zoom’ to facilitate this innovative and high quality training delivery. Our courses will continue to be delivered by our experienced group of technical instructors, ensuring continuity and the best outcome for our customers.

Individuals will still be required to attend our Cotswold Airport facility for their examination. In order to achieve this, Resource Group have devised an in-depth “Safe Systems of Work” procedure and risk assessment to ensure all staff and students health, wellbeing and safety is maintained and prioritised during their visit.

Resource Group will continue to deliver training in this format until it is safe and practicable to invite students back for a traditional face to face delivery. However, we envisage that we will continue to offer students a remote learning option should they wish.

We welcome our existing and new clients to continue their journey with us by booking onto our EASA Part 66, remote delivery training courses.

Resource Group to begin EASA Part-66 remote delivery.

Resource Group are delighted to announce that as of June 1st 2020, we will be re-starting our EASA Part 66 modular training courses. Having followed instructions from the UK Government, restricting individuals to only travel for essential work and the implementation of strict social distancing measures, we took the decision to postpone all of April and May 2020 courses. Over the past 8 weeks, our team have been working tirelessly to develop, test and refine a remote training delivery methodology that will support our clients and students within the aviation industry.

After a lengthy period of testing and positive feedback, Resource Group will be using ‘Zoom’ to facilitate this innovative and high quality training delivery. Our courses will continue to be delivered by our experienced group of technical instructors, ensuring continuity and the best outcome for our customers.

TRAINING SOLUTIONS RESPONSE TO COVID-19

Following the instruction from the UK Government to only travel for essential work and the implementation of strict social distancing measures, Resource Group ATT (LRTT Ltd) made the decision to postpone all training delivery and examination sessions at our Cotswold Airport facility for April 2020. This wasn’t an arbitrary closure. Training was gradually reduced to help our customers to complete modules wherever possible and to sit the required examinations for which they had worked so hard.

Throughout the closedown and during the coronavirus pandemic, our priority has always been the health, wellbeing and safety of our clients and staff. We will be closely monitoring the situation and following government advice until we are content that it is safe to re-open our facility and continue training our clients face to face.

Though like many businesses in our sector we have faced a multitude of challenges over the past weeks, we have maintained our efforts to provide the very best outcome for our clients, promoting programme continuity through innovation and remote training delivery.

We want to reassure everyone that we are working tirelessly to ensure that individuals and clients are supported, including those who are at the very start of their careers, who have made a commitment to enter our industry and who will play a key role in its future recovery.

Outlined below are just some of the examples of where we have had to adapt and overcome to ensure our class leading training delivery continues.

Key updates on services:

Apprenticeship programme: Through an amazing show of commitment from our clients to our industry’s future, all current apprentices have been retained in learning and are busy working their way through remotely delivered training packs and assignments. We look forward very much to welcoming them back in person when the cloud of the pandemic has lifted.

Modular Part-66 courses: Our classroom delivery has been postponed in favour of an instructor-led remote delivery wherever possible. We will resume this service as soon as it is safe and practicable to do so.

International B1.1 course delivery: Once again we have instigated instructor-led remote delivery. This has been endorsed by the CAA at our request and has been implemented through our partnership with the Icelandic Technical School, thereby ensuring programme continuity.

eLearning: We continue to deploy our wide range of globally accessible Aviation Maintenance and Flight Crew eLearning courses. This will help to ensure our clients remain compliant in advance of their operations resuming.

Learning Design: Fortunately, a lesser impacted area of our business and one of the ways that we will remain strong through this period of extreme uncertainty. Our team, albeit operating from home, are continuing to develop bespoke training solutions for our civilian and military clients globally.

The aviation industry has been hugely affected by Covid-19. However, with the passion for what we do and the ability to adapt, technology and creativity will be at the forefront of our efforts and our workforce will continue to step up and deliver for our clients wherever possible.

We will of course continue to provide updates when there are further changes, keep safe everybody.

RESOURCE GROUP’S CEO, STEPHAN HICKMAN ADDRESSES COVID-19

They say a crisis brings people together. My observations, both within our organisation at Resource Group, and in the aviation sector more broadly, are that this has certainly rung true in the midst of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. We are facing unprecedented challenges with largely unknown solutions. Despite this seemingly helpless position our people are rallying and I am proud of them.

I’ve seen other business leaders and politicians explaining that “we’re in it together” and we certainly are. However, aviation is more “in it” than certain other sectors and whilst the close-knit, cohesive, caring community in which we enjoy working is unified at the best of times, it is downright united in the worst.

This is definitely not time to think as ‘I’, but rather time to think as ‘We’. I have been impressed by the calmness and fortitude displayed by many people who have already been affected by this outbreak; it is heartening to see people stepping up to the challenge and doing what is necessary to look after their colleagues and clients.
We have had to ask individuals and teams to step outside of their core functions at short notice. Adapting to the challenges as they are presented to us on a day-to-day and week-to-week basis.

Our declared and united focus right now is the well-being of our staff and the support our clients. Accordingly, our locations in Switzerland, Germany, UK and Spain remain open and our highly-trained teams are busy deploying emergency cover for crewing and technical staffing requirements and flexible training solutions to meet the complex needs that our clients are facing.

Resource Group are accustomed with the deployment of skilled personnel in a world-wide context and whilst we see new complexities during these difficult times it is also heartening to see that we are literally keeping our clients flying.
