  • If you fail a module three times, you must wait 12 months before you can take another set of three attempts.
  • If you attempt a module exam during a 90-day or 12-month stand-down period, it will be investigated and your exam will be voided.
  • If deemed improper conduct, we reserve the right to notify the competent authority and enforce a 12-month ban on all examinations for the candidate.

Essay Exams (Module 7, 9 & 10)

If you’re booking a Module 7, 9 or 10 essay exam, please note that Essay Extract Packs are rotated every six months as per regulatory requirements.

Essay exams cannot be sat in June or December. These months are reserved for updating the Essay Extract Packs, giving you time to review the new materials and prepare effectively for your exam.

Module 13, UKCAA Examination

  • Can be split into Part A and Part B (requiring two separate exams) or taken in one exam (Part A & B combined)  – the current regulations require a score of 75% or higher in all exams.
  • If you fail one part, only that part needs to be retaken.
  • If you fail the same part three times without a 12-month period between any of those attempts, you must wait 12 months and then resit both Part A and Part B.

Module 13, B2 EASA Examination

  • For EASA B2 Module 13, examinations will consist of one exam to cover all submodules.

Module 15 – The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) legislation requires the full Module 15 (Gas Turbine Engines) exam for any B2–B1.1 or B1.3 licence extension.
