ICELANDIC FLIGHT ACADEMY
Resource Training Solutions have worked closely with the Icelandic Flight Academy to develop a comprehensive EASA Part-66 fully approved training programme. In 2009, we worked with the Icelandic Flight Academy in Reykjavik to establish a B1.1 Technician Training Programme on the island. Traditionally individuals had been trained at a variety of sites overseas but the growing demand from Icelandair and other operators on the island merited the set up of a local solution. LRTT played an integral part in a coalition with the Icelandic Flight Academy, The Icelandic Technical Schools, most of the operators on the island and critically the Icelandic Trade Unions to facilitate and deliver a 24 hours training programme that has endured to the present day. LRTT were responsible for:
- Part-147 approval of facilities
- Overseas manpower allocation
- Syllabus building, training scheduling and coordination
- Part-66 examination services
