Acknowledging the Impact of Women in Aviation on International Women’s Day

Every year on 8th March, we celebrate International Women’s Day to recognise and praise the accomplishments of women in social, economic, cultural, and political spheres. This day reminds us of the advancements in promoting gender equality, fostering a moment to appreciate the strides taken and motivating collective efforts for a more inclusive and fair global society. Within the aviation sector, women have significantly progressed, removing barriers and defying stereotypes to emerge as leaders in various fields.

On this International Women’s Day and every day, Resource Group recognises the outstanding accomplishments of women who drive our success and shape the future of the aviation industry.

Our Resource Group Team

Let’s take a look at the women within the training division of Resource Group.

Bethan Jones is our Apprenticeship Data Coordinator, playing a vital role in attaining apprenticeship scheme targets through handling multiple aspects of apprenticeship data. She encompasses programme administration, consolidation of financial returns, monitoring of progression and targets, and maintenance of learner and employer records ensuring GDPR compliance is attained throughout.

Marketing Manager, Jessica Smith, and Marketing Executive, Hannah Masterson, work with all departments in Resource Group to achieve their marketing objectives. With their strategic thinking and data-driven approach, they have executed successful marketing campaigns such as revamping our Part 66 Instructor-Led webpage and launching our new Part 66 Self-Study courses.

Krista Allen – LMS Administrator, oversees all customer support queries and enrolments, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional service. Her dedication and efficiency keep our learning management system running seamlessly.

Denise Burcham – LMS Coordinator, is the mastermind behind our LMS architecture and client relations. From troubleshooting to quality assurance, she ensures our platform meets the highest standards, tailored to all clients’ needs.

Becky Dick and Bec Baker – Creative Learning Developers, are the creative geniuses behind our engaging online training content. With their expertise in multimedia and various authoring tools, they bring learning to life making it effective and enjoyable.

Gail Dutton-Bradbury – a Pedagogy Expert, brings a wealth of educational experience to the Resource Group iAcademy. Her insights into pedagogy ensure that our courses are informative and designed to meet the diverse needs of learners, incorporating the latest trends in education.

Louise Diedericks – As the head of iAcademy, Louise steers our ship with unwavering vision and commitment to excellence. She oversees all projects with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that our digital products and platforms set the standard for innovation.

Penny White and Julia Nigh both work in the sales team. Penny is our key point of contact for eLearning customers and provides them with the utmost support by answering queries, offering advice, and introducing new products and services. Julia supports all members of the sales team with raising orders, exam bookings and invoices, and provides the best support to our customers.

Our fabulous Examinations Manager, Kerstin Fitspatrick, and Examinations Officers, Amanda Parkhurst and Jane Joynson, play a pivotal role in Resource Group. They oversee every aspect of the examination process including production, invigilation, marking, and analysis, ensuring seamless operations. Their dedication ensures equal opportunities for all students participating in exams with us, and their indispensable contributions make the entire process possible.

Joanna Kent – Technical Instructor, uses her physics, maths, and education with adult learners background, to instruct Modules 1 and 2 for CAT A and B licences. She continues to create a huge impact on all students and her knowledge is second to none.

Louise Rodger, Learning Support Lead, and Gemma Thompson and Rebecca Harding, Learning Support Officers, are the first point of contact for all apprentices to support them with any welfare or safeguarding issues. Their charisma and commitment enable learners to thrive throughout their training and achieve their goals.

Claire Lee is our Senior Payroll Manager, leading the payroll team comprised of Senior Payroll Administrator, Sue Halliday, and Payroll Administrators, Anita Traynor and Summer Trossell. They manage and deliver UK and international payrolls for our employees and contractors across 14 countries, operating in multiple currencies and ensuring the payrolls are accurately processed on time and comply with local legislations relevant to each country. They support clients, account managers and the finance team directly whilst working closely with commercial managers and third-party payroll professionals worldwide.

Kay Yates is our fabulous Purchase Ledger Clerk. She is responsible for processing and paying all supplier invoices and expenses and is always there to help and support with any queries.

Kimberley Lloyd is the line manager for the business support team at Kemble and Humberside. She organises the team’s workload and instructs them on day-to-day tasks. Alongside the rest of the management team, Kimberley assists with implementing new processes and procedures for the company, particularly for student records. She also manages the completion of DBS checks for our employees and handles monthly credit card expenditures for the business.

Deana Bleakley and Ailish Kearns form an integral part of the business support team at Humberside. Their responsibilities include handling all student exams, certificates and affiliated paperwork. Additionally, they facilitate the hosting of third-party contractors, ensure the seamless functioning of facilities, and handle various administrative tasks.

Ellie Screen and Lucy Taylor are the first point of contact for students, visitors, and staff at our Kemble site. They organise and maintain student records, create certificates of recognition, and arrange the student course folders. All employees can rely on them for travel bookings, uniform requests and general ordering/arranging of equipment.

Charlotte Milburn provides administrative support to the Business Support team, focusing on electronic archiving and storage of student examination papers and results, training documentation and certificate records.

On this International Women’s Day, we extend our appreciation to these remarkable women for their valuable contributions to our company and the aviation industry. Their leadership, dedication, and expertise are an inspiration and we take immense pride in having them as integral members of Resource Group.
