Apprenticeships
Described by the UK CAA as ‘setting the industry standard’, Resource Group is a UK CAA and EASA Part 147 Approved Basic Training Organisation.
We have been delivering Engineering Technician Apprenticeships for over 20 years and have an established reputation as the leading training provider for the aviation industry. We have built a large, impressive client base and received the highest levels of accreditation.
Why us
We provide Level 3 Aircraft Maintenance Apprenticeships which are aligned with the UK CAA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence: A1 – Aeroplanes and A3 – Helicopters. As an approved UK Civil Aviation Authority (UK CAA) Part-147 Training Organisation, we deliver the regulated ST1315 Apprenticeship Standard, set by Skills England, the body responsible for this apprenticeship standard in the UK.. Our programme is funded through the apprenticeship levy via the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA).
Level 3 CAT A Aircraft Mechanic
Our fully approved 2-year Level 3 Aircraft Mechanic Apprenticeship programme combines structured classroom learning with hands-on practical training.
Programme Structure:
- Phase One (first 9 months) – 65% practical (workshop, aircraft systems and engines) and 35% theory, ensuring apprentices gain the core skills required to confidently contribute to the aviation workforce.
- Phase Two (remaining 18 months) – Conducted within your organisation’s Part-145 environment, where apprentices are assessed on-site by our qualified in-house Apprentice Assessors.
Flexible Delivery Options:
- Theoretical and workshop elements of the programme can be delivered at your facility (subject to available facilities), with live aircraft systems and handling training taking place at our Cotswold Airport site.
- Alternatively, the full apprenticeship programme can be completed entirely at one of our dedicated training sites.
This approach ensures apprentices gain the skills, practical experience, and regulatory knowledge required to thrive in the UK aviation maintenance industry.
